Spokane Is Reading is a joint community read sponsored and produced by Spokane Public Library, Spokane County Library District and Auntie's Bookstore. Designed to encourage reading in the region, culminating with two free author presentations, Spokane Is Reading is one of the longest-running community reads in the state of Washington, and has celebrated such authors as Sherman Alexie, Jess Walter, Laurie R. King and Kent Haruf, to name a few.
